So I don't have a source.

The big thing is that both the government and corporations need to borrow money all the time. They both have to refinance debt, when it comes due. With all the uncertainty right now, lenders are wary.

Also, foreigners are feeling hostile to the US right now. Foreign governments own around 23% of government debt. There are indications that they are selling off some of it, flooding the market which pushes prices down and interest rates up.

There's a lot more to it.
