Maryland senator Chris Van Hollen wants to meet with Bukele while he's visiting DC. Cute, but won't go far. They'll probably decline the meeting. You can't truly push against fascism by doing only the things you are permitted to do.
Gather a group of congress people (from Maryland or elsewhere) and visit El Salvador and go to the jail the way Kristi Noem was able to do a photo op, and demand to talk to the people Trump smuggled there. Don't forget the hairdresser or make-up artist, or whoever that unfortunate soul was.
They would likely not be allowed to see the prisoners, but that's a serious hijacking of the narrative on Trump's human trafficking. Grab media attention, people. We won't get out of this mess without being able to command media attention.
