No not me. Let's not get carried away.
I have a family member who's quite a bit into far right politics (who at some point defended Proud Boys by telling me ... *me* ... that they're not a racist group but Western chauvinists, that old line, to which I had to reply, "dude, you know my background; you surely don't think I'm gonna think there's a qualitative difference between those two concepts").
His turn towards right wing politics took place during the pandemic lock downs (just another soul that isolation broke) which is how he got estranged with my niece and their marriage got a bit thorny.
Right after his turn to the right, he converted to catholicism, probably the same path as JD Vance. I found out around that time there was a right wing push towards catholicism.
Now I'm finding out that he has further converted to Greek Orthodoxy. I did a Google search rights away and sure enough, it turns out that there is a new trend among right wing extremists to convert to eastern Orthodox. You know. Like Russians.
Thought I'd share this finding with you folks in case you start getting glimpses of this in your lives as well.
