I have to say, having back to back to back promotions like what they just did is absolutely insane. It's a massive achievement. When Reynolds and McElnenny bought the team, they were in the figgin' dumpster that's very hard to climb out of. They were in a semi-professional league. (BTW, I'm not convinced they will make it to the premiere league next year. I'd be happy to see them keep some foothold somewhere mid table and not drop back down ... but then, I've never been the sunshine kind.)
Also recall that Wrexham came very close to promotion at the end of their first year ... so the year they did not get promoted was the year they almost did.
Looking forward to this season's Welcome to Wrexham, which I don't even consider a "guilty" pleasure. It's a much funnier, warmer, and more human version of "Sunderland Till I Die". It could get sappy at times, but that's something I'm willing to put up with in return for the twon profiles and behind the scenes look at a team's season.
