The Air Force gets a 12-year old plane from a foreign source. Than it has to be taken apart to ensure that it hadn't been bugged or otherwise compromised. Then it has to be upgraded with Presidential capabilities. Surely costing hundreds of millions of dollars. Let's be wildly optimistic and say this conversion can be done within a year.
So Trump uses it as President for 2.5 years.
Then the conversion has to be reversed because you can't have this top secret equipment in private hands. Another few hundred million on the taxpayers dime.
All to give a "free" airplane to Trump.
