we're in. An institution that's essentially a loaded gun against everyone's head is OK as long as we have good people holding it and we know they're not going to pull the trigger.

Did the military flip back and fort as violently as ICE? Did the FBI? The CIA? Nope, they're not exactly stellar but at least they don't turn into a terror machine at the drop of a hat.
