the claims that at least some of those people rounding up immigrants behind masks, in unmarked cars, and never actually showing any identification are people like the Proud Boys. I strongly suspect that that's what's going on here, even though I have not seen any in depth reporting on this matter.
We need some investigative journalists on that because if true, this is essentially another step towards fascism in the way it integrates civilian paramilitary groups into the state apparatus.
