and breaking things is a workable model if all you're doing is social media and the stakes are not that high normally and the cost of screwing things up is generally not as disastrous (compared to, say, self-driving cars and rockets). They still think they can be sloppy with their work, screw up and come back to fix the problem with a patch in the next iteration. You know, like that make-it-up-as-you-go school of app making that they love so much.
These are not people made for building serious things.
