If you read the stories that's what Trump did. He said they let him keep the trophy, he was holding it at the WH, asked them when do you want it back and they said oh nevermind we'll make another one.

But the FIFA spokespeople said that wasn't true they simply chose to make another one when it was obvious Trump wasn't returning the real one.
