Several resolutions were introduced requiring release of information on Epstein, his financial information etc. The purpose was because Johnson closed the house, it forces committees in the House to respond to resolutions and in some case literally tables things they were trying to pass because they can't pass them without responding to the resolution and they can't respond because the House is on vacation.
