Any GOP congressman could stop the redistricting

They could simply declare that they will switch parties if the Texas GOP attempts to re-district the state without waiting for the normal re-districting period. A congressman doing this could accurately pose as “the good guy, standing up for democracy.”

That phrase will sell, it will persuade voters. And it will look good on his tombstone, too.
