If Trump dies, and Vance is sworn in on January 19, 2027 or before, then he can't run for reelection in 2032. You can only serve for 10 years max. So keep that date in mind.
But maybe that won't matter. Under that scenario, they will try to come up with a workaround. Vance and Thiel might try to push back the official inauguration to Jan 20th, 2027 and delay the start of the 10 year clock, and call himself the "interim president."
