incubate this and turn it over in their heads a few times before they can find that path through. They want to do it. They would like nothing more than to give Trump what he wants, but it's going to take some creativity for them on their part to enable it.
So I think they'll choose the path of inaction. I think he's going to run anyway and put the supremes in a bind. And they'll probably respond with a shadow docket decision, offering no rationale, just dodging the whole thing.
Or some version of that.
The point is, Trump will run, and the supreme court will find a way to get out of the way.
