Texas is NOT a red state it's a purple state that's gerrymandered red
They were already heavily gerrymandered the courts ordered them to redo the map several times, they just kept refusing and then redrawing it worse and going through the courts again. They've done that again but now the margins are MUCH slimmer.
California has some risk of that too of course but California much more blue than Texas is red.
If Texas had a prop 50 vote it would NOT have gone 63.8% yes, I believe it would have won but much closer than ours was
