Fair enough but the recess has the house shutdown and the entire reason is the Epstein vote. And Johnson is apparently considering just not reopening it until after that election on Dec 2

That means the only way the government reopens before then is if the Senate passes the House version which appears clearly won't happen


Any compromise at all will require the House to vote on a new CR and they can't if they're not open.

He's had the HOuse closed for this since Sept 19th. He closed the house then a week early to avoid the vote and has kept them closed since then because if he confirms Grijalva, she will force the vote on Epstein files.

It's insane we could have a 2 1/2 month closure of the House because they want to hide the files and protect Trump and his donors
