The city council unanimously passed a resolution to name a street after Charlie Kirk. The city and its vicinity, as you may know, are home to the largest Vietnamese population outside of Vietnam.
How could people of color do this for a Nazi, you ask? Here's the deal. The South Vietnamese government was corrupt and authoritarian as fuck. It was never a beacon of freedom and democracy. It is quite fitting for the South Vietnamese immigrants to support MAGA over democracy and fly the South Vietnamese flag. The same goes for the Cubans in the US. Fulgencio Batista was a corrupt dictator in partnership with the mafia. It completely makes sense for them to support Trump who must remind them of Batista. This applies to my people as well. We lived under a military authoritarian regime which overthrew a democraticly elected president.
These countries are not sending their best.
