Anyone else watching Ken Burns' documentary on the America Revolution? Warfare back then was up close, personal and very bloody.

How did a country that has grown to be a world power in 250 years arise from out of that maelstrom? And are today's "We the People", the beneficiaries of their sacrifices, worthy of the gift we've been given?
