Glenn Kirschner said he's concerned the SC is going to rule California's illegal. He said the dissenting judges kind of hinted that they objected to the decision because of some arbitrary date. that is the judges said it's too close to the election so Texas has to go with the existing map, which is the NEW one not the one they used in 2024. By picking an arbitrary deadline they can pick one after Texas did theirs but before California did ours and then say California is too late they have to use the 2024 map.
REmember the argument is voters are confused if it's changed too close to the election, which makes no sense. Do they think voters go oh I'm in a new district I'm going to vote differently?
