Suppose MTG is the Republican nominee. Do you think 16% of Republicans will decide to not vote for her because she's a woman? I seriously doubt that.
It's easy for people to say they're not ready to vote for women in the abstract, with no name attached to the candidate. The fact that we're so much polarized and there's so much partisanship in our politics practically guarantees that if a woman is the nominee for either party, she'll get the whole party behind her, as long as they're not actively crapping on a significant portion of their base the way Clinton and Harris did
