Every time you hear the word "affordability", that's his stamp on the current political discourse.

[soapbox=on]
As the older generation who have been holding on to pre-2008 political paradigms for dear life begin to fade, I really believe the rise of the progressives in the party is unavoidable. The overton window has shifted. Most things that were once taboo under neoliberalism (medicare for all, taxing the rich) are now on the table. So yeah, we'll see more of Mamdani and folks like him, people who are native users of the current media landscape and who have the added advantage of being smart, nice, sincere, and likeable people, i.e., the millenials that boomers like to crap on all the time. Signed: proud parent of two millenial adults.
[soapbox=off]

I feel better already.
