Narcissist tend to live a bit out of touch with reality. They tend to believe in their own greatness, while being able to blot out any awarenesss of their own failings.
Narcissits tend to believe their own lies, which makes them very convincing liars.
I was in love with one, once. It wasn't a pleasant experience.
