My personal take: I think it's too late for small, incremental

changes. I'd argue that we're past the point of having our problems solved by minor adjustments at the edges. Anything that does not alter the underlying structure only serves the powers that be by delaying what we all know must be done.

If you'd said that in the 90s, I'd see how maybe we don't need to rush anything. At this point, however, when we're at the verge of the first private citizen who may end up being a trillionaire (= a million times a million dollars net worth) while folks can't afford basic, life-saving services, when billionaires have so much money that they've decided to go to Mars on their own, I'd say the time for small, incremental changes is a thing of the past.
