People like claiming that one if their great great great (repeat a few times)grandfather (never a grandmother) was from Mayfair, making them 0.000somethingsomething01 pure American or whatever they're calling themselves now, so they're the ones who earned to be citizens as opposed to being an anchor baby who was born and grew up in the States.
