you're blaming homophobia in the third world on missionaries?

I've got an acquaintance that is an Episcopalian. She built a school in the middle of nowhere in Tanzania, with her own money and donations. It's in a Maasi village. One of the graduates is on track to be the first brain surgeon in Tanzania (or so she says).

I'd guess about 200 Maasi kids attend school there.

Their frontline battle is putting an end to female genital mutilation.
