His first book, Tipping Point, extolled the virtues of making things go "viral" and pointed out some ways to help something along.
But that had some dire, unintended consequences. Gulp.
So "revenge" points out some of the more insidious aspects of runaway movements. We have lots of obvious examples, but there are some sneaky ones that I found interesting to know about.
Like the way elite universities smuggle White kids into their student bodies, as mentioned above.
The chapter on the danger of "monocultures" was particularly good, IMO.
I think some of the greatest evils in modern human history have been the result of a group of powerful people led by a deranged madman trying to impose a "monoculture" on the rest of Europe, or a huge chunk of humanity.
The factoid I learned about cheetahs really puts the whole Adam & Eve and Noah's Ark stuff in perspective.
