Lifted from a Facebook post. King Donald I is on a tear to create an authoritarian state where one man rules supreme and the rest of us just suck it up, whatever the consequences.

From the post: "BREAKING: Trump- “I can DESTROY the country if I want” Donald Trump got candid in his most recent press conference. The Supreme Court told him he cannot use one specific legal gimmick to impose tariffs the way he wants, his response was: No, I can still do whatever I want, and I’m going to do more.

He’s furious he “can’t charge $1,” but he can cut off trade, embargo, license, block, and “destroy” a country’s economy if he decides to.
Pure DERANGMENT.

This man is complaining that he is allowed to wreck entire economies, but not allowed to collect a fee the way he wants. That is not a trade policy argument. That is an autocrat throwing a tantrum because someone reminded him the country is not his personal Venmo.

And unfortunately, he’s not entirely wrong about this power.
Over decades, Congress has handed more and more authority to the executive branch, especially on “national security” and “emergency” grounds.

This is why people keep calling him a wannabe king. He is building the exact model corporations love. Not “democracy,” not “rule of law,” but a single all powerful figurehead who can be lobbied, pressured, flattered, and bribed through access.

One phone call, one donor dinner, one executive order. That’s the endgame: a country run like a private equity deal. Strip it, flip it, loot it, move on.

Meanwhile, what happens to the rest of us is brutally simple.

Tariffs are not paid by some foreign villain in a cartoon. Tariffs are a tax that shows up at checkout. Prices creep up. Repairs cost more. Basics cost more. Wages do not magically rise to match it. Corporate executives get to pass the costs on, blame “trade,” and keep the profits rolling uphill.

And the propaganda is the lubricant. He waves around the stock market like it proves your life is better. He repeats “we’re being ripped off” because humiliation is the fuel of authoritarian politics. Keep people angry, keep them scared, keep them confused, then sell them the strongman as the only solution.

If you do one thing, do this: do not normalize it. Do not treat this like normal politics. FIGHT BACK."
