attack on Iran's nuclear weaponry sites has barely scratched the surface. It was mostly for show.
They've been "a week away" from nuclear grade uranium for as long as we've been talking about how Iran's aspirations must be stopped.
I'm gonna raise the bigger question here: Other than the fact that even one more nation with nuclear weapons being a bad thing in and of itself, is there any particular concern if Iran, of all nations, acquire a nuclear arsenal.
Color me skeptical of the assertion that they would launch a first attack on Israel or anywhere else if they have nuclear weapons. Their history in the modern era does not suggest an aggressive nation at all. They have been attacked and messed with many times in the 20th century but they have never quite initialized a first attack. They have used local proxies to f*ck sh*t up, consistently, but I don't know that they have showed any appetite at being an openly aggressive nation.
Like I implied, I am opposed to Iran acquiring nuclear weapons on the grounds that I think we have more than enough nations with access to that sh*t, but Iran in particular does not worry me any further than that. I don't think it's their faith, ideology, or politics that favor an aggressive stance. That does not seem to be how they operate in general.
Let me put it this way, I think it is more likely that Trump could attack some nation somewhere around the world with a nuclear weapon than a nuclear Iran would.
