And if you look on the Army's own recruitment website it lists reasons for that and the very first one in prior years the job market was so hot with signing bonuses that many people would choose those jobs over the military. So why did enlistment go up in 2025? The job market was so BAD because of Trump, people saw no other option so they enlisted.
