I had to apply in person because the passport expired

in the last century. Literally. So it fell under applying for a "new" passport. You may qualify for renewal online. A couple of protips if you are applying in person.

- Make an appointment online
- Show up on time
- Bring a photo copy of your driver's license (I did not and paid a price for it)
- Fill out the application online and print it

I did that on March 11th and got the stuff today. It was supposed to take 4-6 weeks. I guess Trump hasn't gutted the passport service yet. I wonder if my application was placed on the fast tract even though I didn't pay the extra fee.

Yes, I had to send in my old passport. I got it back and along with the new one today.
