Iran had already agreed to stop enriching Uranium. They were already much farther along than they were in the agreement they signed on to with Obama. All Trump had to do was to point at that and declare victory, and for once, he would've been correct on something.
Bit Netanyahu didn't like that. He knew he had to sabotage that agreement, which is why he forced Trump's hand to launch the attack before that agreement was finalized and signed.
Trump is so easily manipulated, it's mind-boggling.
