Apparently, the great white sharks become inert if they are turned upside down. Some orcas have learned this trick and actively hunt the sharks that way. They apparently eat the shark's liver and ignore the rest of the carcass. Even more, when a great white is threatened, all of the other great whites in the area will flee.
I recall reading an article about an orca attack on a great white near Catalina island. I found a link to that article, but nowadays I don't have a subscription and I cannot get past the paywall...
