1. Steyer's Farallon Capital didn't run a hedge fund FOR the ICE camps. The hedge fund invested IN the company.
2. The investment was 22 years ago, and Steyer has expressed regret.
3. Farallon held the shares for only two years.
4. The company they invested in, while long operating private prisons, has only serviced ICE in recent years.
5. I'm not endorsing private prisons. I'm not endorsing Tom Steyer. I'm still leaning Becerra.
