Do you think WITH LIBERTY AND JUSTICE FOR ALL is a statement that includes everyone regardless of race, gender, sexual and gender orientation, religious beliefs (or lack thereof), nationality, immigration status, and all that jazz? IOW, do you believe that LIBERTY and JUSTICE are the intrinsic rights of every human being who lives in this country, period?
Or do you think these are rights that only apply to some people who live in this country even though ALL presumably means ALL?
None of this says anything about who's a legal immigrant, whether illegal immigrants have the right to stay in the country or whether they are allowed to go to public school. It simply means that the right to go through the justice system like anyone else, that they cannot be arrested willy nilly and thrown into a concentration camp stacked up like sardines, denied medication, denied the right to actually eb able to go sleep at night, or be deprted to some draconian people in some godforsaken place. That they have legal representaton and have the right to go through the appropriate channels in the system like everyone else.
Or is that a bridge too far?
Do you believe all humans are created equal?
That's what we're talking about and that's my challenge to the right.
