I'm 100% in on proportional representation where there are multiple offices being filled (House representatives, maybe even Senate if we could get out sh*t together) but ranked choice for single office (governorship, presidency)
I think, however, it is entirely possible for no Democrat to be in the top two. Probably unlikely to some extent but entirely possible, if not in this election than in some other -- all because the Democratic party has no internal discipline that allows them to put out only two candidates and nix the rest at the back end. I'm pretty sure Republicans don't have that problem.
That said, we don't fix planes until one has crashed and we won't fix the election system until we have a year when the top of the list is two Republicans. Until that point, this crap will continue unabated.
