He didn't.
He pointed out that much of the speech about Kirk is a reaction to the way rightwing lunatics harassed, fired, and attacked anyone who had the temerity to point out that Kirk was racist and a mediocrity who demonized other people.
If you believe in free speech, why should people be fired or jailed for expressing the opinion that he was a rightwing grifter who coarsened political dialog in this country?
Or does free speech only apply to racists, republicans and fans of Epstein's fat orange wingman?
