About an American military operation on the Iranian coastline near Abu Musa Island. The plan was to sneak in and plant some electronic gear on the beach, then withdraw. The intended effect was to show the Iranians that we could reach and briefly occupy a stretch of their coastline, thereby embarrassing them.
According to the presenter the Iranians were on to this operation and informed the invaders that they were to withdraw or be attacked. The American force did withdraw and the humiliation was ours.
I don't know how much truth there is to this, but with Hegseth running the Pentagon, any crackpot idea can be put on the table.
Anyone else hear anything else about this potential fiasco?
