To me, voting for Becerra will be my biggest "hold my nose" moment ranked right after Hillary Clinton and Joe Biden. On the one hand, I'm pretty sure that the number will not be enough to derail Becerra's election to the office, but on the other, the rift is getting wider and the Democratic Party and its supporters shifting their weight behind the most unexciting and unthreatening, establishment candidate I could have imagined while progressives are building a momentum elsewhere (especially after Mamdani), will not help the matter. I personally don't see this alliance lasting too much longer if things don't change.
