Various stories about how it got started. But it’s just…. If the numbers 6-7 come up in any context, you yell “6 7!” And do the accompanying hand gesture. (Link below). That’s it. So kids, sometimes, if they are around other kids, they’ll say 6 7 kind of as a friendliness test. There’s been several basketball games where, as a score approaches 67 the kids in the stadium will start getting excited. If the team actually lands in 67 points, kids in the arena will jump up and do the gesture. It’s cute. And it seems to be a thing that little kids will try to get older kids to respond to.
