First of all, it's freaking New York, not Albuquerque, New Mexico. Every little thing that happens there makes national news. Nothing gets confined there. The right will surely nationalize him and the Democrats will have to respond.
He can't run for president, but he will certainly play a role in the primaries. Unless he falters between now and before the start of 2027, who he can play a kingmaker.
