a diminished team based not on a call made on the field, but from a slow motion replay after the fact.
What's interesting is that emphasis on the slow motion nature of the replay.
Not only has instant replay been a part of US sports since god knows when, but slowed down replay has been a big part of that for as long as I've known it.
One sport that uses the same kind of instant replay that at least initially looked down on slowing the replay down and claimed that decisions should be made on the bases of real time speed, ironically, is soccer -- as far as I know.
Was that a slip up? Do we know? Do we care?
