Someone I went to HS with is screaming about let's pass it on her FB page. Why should illegals be allowed to vote, here is Slotkin admitting they vote saying if the SAVE Act passed we won't win elections anymore. She of course is actually quoting... Trump who said we won't lose an election in the next 100 years if the SAVE ACt passes, same guy who said elect me you won't need to vote anymore.
After explaining that I gave her the Heritage Foundation investigation and the search database to see how rare it was and gave her the perentage. Who cares if ONE illegal votes that's too many and that number, 99 is HUGE, the percentage is crazy high. IT's like infinitesimally less than 1 percent.
So then I gave her the percentage in the SAVE Database that Texas flagged as being illegal that were actually legal, 1.45 % . They used it, and got sued and lost because the list was inaccurate, they knew it was, and still used it. And of course the same person who had just said 99 is a huge number and the percentage was crazy high, said 1.45 % and about 3000 people is trivial it's more important to make those people re register. note if that's the error rate nationally 2.45 million would be flagged as being illegal when they're legal. There's already a national study that estimates the actual number in the SAVE database is about 11 million American voters who are COMPLETELY LEGAL, would be flagged as not legal because SAVE used an old database from DOGE that's in some cases decades out of date.
They're all screaming why do you want illegals to vote when the evidence is overwhelming that they don't vote.
somewhere between 2.45 and 11 million Americans would be pulled off the voter rolls immediately if SAVE were passed and that doesn't even count all the married women who changed their names and other things SAVE impacts.
Millions of Americans should NOT be forced to jump through hoops because 99 people in the last 44 years voted illegally.
