Mikel Arteta is charismatic but a little ruthless. Reminds me of Bill Walsh a little. Very loyal to his player — up to the point he sees them aging out and decides to move on.
For rhe most part Walsh got it right - replaced great or good players with younger stars to balance the age, $$ and squad.
He let players go who still had one or two good years - Jerry Rice, Ronnie Lott and Joe Montana for example, but kept the roster from aging out and shifted a lot of players who were running out of gas. I think Trossard is going to be a productive player for at least a couple of years.
