I just learned about The Battle of Brisbane a few months ago.

I've got a crazy neighbor who was in the navy in the 80's. He said Australia was the best. When they disembarked from the ship on leave, women were lined up in cars, like a taxi stand. You just got in the next car in line, whomever she was, and screwed until you had to be back on the boat.

Fun fact, apparently in the 90's, in Aus, the conjugal act was called "rooting." I can't think of a more base word for it. We were watching a much hyped Australian movie about people entering adulthood. A young lady lamented that her boyfriend had dumped her "because I won't root for him."
