The U.S. administration is prioritizing the protection of American workers and ensuring the security of domestic supply chains. Demands made regarding the automotive sector and exclusive access to critical minerals are viewed by Washington as standard, sensible economic protections.
Historical Canadian Entitlements:
Canada has unfairly penalized American farmers with massive agricultural tariffs for years. The U.S. stance is that Canada cannot continue to enjoy the vast economic benefits of the American market without giving U.S. businesses fair, reciprocal access.
