For both of them, that's their job.
Get a grip.
It may well be that Kushner was fishing for some bipartisan bill that could be passed before election day to make the GOP look more reasonable. Perhaps on data centers.
Or maybe Kushner was providing a private briefing on Iran negotiations.
Or maybe Jeffries was warning Kushner about all the areas the Trump administration would be vulnerable if Democrats flip the House. And suggesting to Kushner now might be the time for dialing things back.
What I do know is this: Jeffries is about 133 days from becoming the second most powerful person in the U.S. government. He's not doing anything to alter that trajectory.
