I was born in 1965 so I just missed being a boomer.
The objection to raising the FICA cap is the way it's written FICA is capped but so is the payout so if you raise the cap, it raises the amount that they can take out. My argument would be people who make enough that the cap being raised would impact them don't need to take SS, but you'll never convince them it's their money they paid in they have the right to take it.
