You're like a coach who takes the field with the game plan "if they're going to keep making mistakes, we'll simply let them keep the ball" I find this a stunning position for someone who is otherwise so deeply invested in the success of the Democratic Party.
You're advocating that the Democratic Party play prevent defense.
I have a suspicion that you're not the only one who takes this view ... just based on what I'm seeing out there. This is not even resting on your laurels. It's resting on the promise of a laurel. So I guess from that point of view it makes sense to start punching to the left because you know, how else are you going to kill time between now and the inevitable midterm victory coming up in a couple of months?
