Good idea to get flood insurance?

Even if not required? Some years ago I did due to a forcast of historic El Niņo. The whole winter turned out to be a dud. The city told me I am in a 500 year zone, but with historic climate events everywhere, we may be in for historic floods.

What are you guys thinking?
