"HEARTBREAKING: New reporting reveals that Trump's Department of the Interior diverted 300 specialized emergency first responders from American national parks to work on his Reflecting Pool renovation and other "beautification" projects in Washington, D.C.
This comes amid ongoing rescue efforts in the Grand Canyon following massive flash flooding over the weekend. About 80 people have been rescued so far, with two individuals found dead and at least one person missing.
The diverted special personnel were part of the National Park Service's Incident Management Team, which is primarily focused on immediate response to natural disasters such as floods.
Arizona officials have been making hundreds of phone calls and cross-checking license plates in order to narrow the list of missing people following the deadly flooding."
