When we checked in on the Senate map three weeks ago, we had Democrats favored to pick up three of the four seats they need to win control of the chamber (Alaska, Maine, and North Carolina), with five other Republican-held seats in play. Only one Democratic-held seat, Michigan, was in the toss-up category. As a result, we made Democrats the slight favorites to win the Senate.
In the weeks since that update, Democrats’ chances have improved and the map has widened, but one Democratic-held seat has also entered the picture.
